BeksBased out of Hamilton, ON, Beks is a children’s portrait photographer for Little Icons. She travels to Toronto and surrounding area to offer these sessions as well. Beks is a gem of a human and an honorary Canadian after an attempt to move home to Australia only to turn back around, marry her love, and build her photography business in Toronto. Beks has legitimately been a photographer since the ripe old age of 12 when she apprenticed with a professional, but she has only really taken it seriously since she was 14. Joking (not joking) aside, Beks has impeccable taste, she is fun loving, kind, and has a sense of adventure that clearly impacts the images she creates. Beks’ friends would describe her as being very quirky, fun, and outgoing. If you check out her instagram, you’ll get a sense of this side of her, it’s what first drew us in. Ultimately, people close to her would describe her as down to earth, present and constant. Beks is an enneagram 9w1, loves thrift shopping, eats tomatoes like apples, and hopes you never see her before she’s had a coffee! She currently lives in Hamilton, Ontario with her Husband and their dog, Jake. For Beks, the gift of photography is the relationship between knowing that photographs can truly impact the heart and soul, holding such depth AND infuse people with so much happiness simultaneously! She loves witnessing children’s unfiltered joy, and connecting with their perspective of seeing the world in colour, with such vivid imagination and zest for life! Her hope is that in spending time in front of her lens, they walk away knowing how unique and wonderful they are, and that that is truly what makes them beautiful.
