Kat

Based out of Sherwood Park, AB Kat is a children's portrait photographer for Little Icons. She also offers sessions in Edmonton, AB and surrounding area. 

Kat is a personal growth junkie, an enneagram 7, a lover of freedom, intellectual, spontaneous, and quick to be inspired. Her family is made up of a wonderful, strong-willed boy, a light-hearted almost 2 year old daughter, and her laid-back husband. She eats her perogies with sour cream AND ketchup and says “don’t knock it till you try it!” 

Dancing in the kitchen with her family is her favourite thing in the world!

With training in professional photography, and photo journalism, Kat is motivated to document genuine, honest moments. Being comfortable to sit with another’s emotions is something she values greatly. These are such important tools when working with children! Kat loves to witness each child as they are, and to follow their lead, in order to create beautiful, authentic images. Her warmth provides an invitation for kids of all ages to let down their guard and enjoy having their photo taken.

Kat is full of love and kindness, and has a great laugh. She is passionate about self improvement, digging deep and looking past the surface. A perfect recipe for the type of person we want behind the lens, creating magical moments with these kiddos.
